Part of the Connecting Peoples program in Honduras is the sending and receiving of young adults as part of the SALT, YAMEN!, and IVEP programs.

These programs are great opportunities for cross-cultural learning and service. Participants share their willingness to serve, experience, talents, and lives with one of MCC’s partner organizations. This year, we have received 3 SALT participants from the US, and have sent out two YAMEN! participants from Honduras to Bolivia and Indonesia. It is exciting to see how much they are learning and growing through this experience.

The SALT program is currently accepting applicants. The opportunities that MCC Honduras offers are found here.

The goals of the SALT program are:

  • International goodwill and understanding
  • Reconciliation and peace-building
  • Personal experience with and commitment to the worldwide church
  • Participants’ personal, professional and spiritual growth
